Considering the limited release and the current situation the country is facing the film has done well and made some money for Omar Khan.

So what was the budget of Zibakhana ? 50 Lakhs maximum.

Thats right yoyo. Its sad because there was a time in the 1980s when the Indians used to copy every single Javed Fazil film.

Syed Noor so far directed 41 films from Qasam being his 1st film to his last being Jhoomer. One film Khuda Qasam has got Syed Noor's name as director but he has only shot couple of scenes because the main director of the film had died. One really can't call it a Syed Noor film.

Saima has appeared in 28 films of Syed Noor out of a total of 41 but really should be 40.

The films which Saima has appeared are as follows:
(films are in order of release)

1. Ghoonghat
2. Dupatta Jhal Raha Hai
3. Choorian (Punjabi)
4. Muhafiz
6. Deewarain
7. Daku Rani
8. Angaray
9. Jungle Queen
10. Billi
11. Lakhon Main Aik
12. Mehndi Walay Haath (Punjabi)
13. Beti
14. Dil Kach Da Kharonda (Punjabi)
15. Dakhait
16. Baaghi
17. Choorian Nahi Hathkarian
18. Uff Yeh Beewaian
19. Sapnay Apnay Apnay
20. Dil Deewana (Guest apperance - one song)
21. Sholay
22. Behram Daku
23. Budda Gujar (Punjabi)
24. Larki Punjaban
25. Commondo
26. Hum Aik Hain
27. Majajan (Punjabi)
28. Jhoomer

One film called Sanam which got completed a few years ago also has Saima has never been released. Since 1999 Saima has appeared in every single Syed Noor film.

Hoppo I am sorry but Saima is also in the film. Even though Syed Noor said previously that the film will have a new cast.

Well the indians are not interested in Mohabattan Sachchian or any Pakistani film. Its simple but when are we going to wake up to the harsh reality.

We keep on talking about co-production with the Indians and the exhange of films. Its not going to happen. Its only us who are desperate to release Bollywood films in Pakistan.

Even though every single Indian film released has virtually been a flop.

Its our industry and we should either revive ourselves.

The film won't get released before March at the earliest. The loadshedding, elections, and the overall situation is of the country is not helping things. No films are going to be released in the next two months. More losses for the poor film industry.

I would also love to the see the promos and trailor online. Where as everything gets uploaded on youtube but very few promos and trailors of new Pakistani films get uploaded.

Can someone please upload the promos of KAKN and KPNK.

Can someone confirm is the film really getting released on 25th January. As what I read a few days back that the film won't get released until March.

Getting back to the promotion of the film then the promos of the film should be shown from the channels and not one particular channel.

You spend 8 crore rupees on a film and take 5 years to make the film and when it comes to promotion our film makers take short cuts to save money.

Absolutely stupid.

Geo are not going to release KAKN instead Javed Shiekh is going to release the film himself under his banner J.S Productions. The reason being is that Geo were not offering the amount which Javed Shiekh wanted. Infact according to Javed Shiekh just for the Sind and Karachi distributons rights he was offered more then what Geo was offering for the whole rights.

Lets see what happens. The film is probably going to be released in March. The music should be out this month.

The film was average and nothing special. The worse thing is the stript which is very predictable especially the second half.

The problem with Zibakhana is that firstly its not made on 35mm film and also its mostly made in English with a bit of Urdu. Still its got shown in the 3 major cities of the country. Lets see the response.

Medlka only came on in Pakistan. The print quality of all the films were good. Geo did cut one full song and 1 half song from Salakhain. Still enjoyed watching Salakhain again.

Even though I only saw bits of Border and Qayamat both films did not look bad.

More on Zibakhana and its Pkistani release:

Zibahkhana has at long last released in Pakistan after much ado was made by it's director Omar Khan because the censor board was refusing to clear the film for public viewing. It wasn't surprising, because it takes a lot for mindsets to change, and Zibahkhana, being a typical slash fest couldn't be absorbed by myopic minds that aren't used to the new kind of Pakistani cinema that the filmmakers in the land of the pure want to make.

However, a whole new generation is ready for it. Zibahkhana ran to packed houses at the PACC in Karachi and also at LUMS during the FILUMS, the university's film festival in Lahore. The young and the restless gave it a standing ovation. A Pakistani film finally that speaks their language.

Featuring a bunch of jean-clad, pot smoking youngsters in a van looking for a concert, getting lost in the woods around Islamabad and getting chased by a burqa-clad serial killer, meeting the creepiest of characters along the way, Zibahkhana is not a film with any intellectual pretensions whatsoever. And that is exactly what is so refreshing about it. A spine chilling roller coaster which elicits may a chuckle and hoots along the way as people scream before heads roll, Zibahkhana is the second breath of fresh air for Pakistani cinema after Khuda Kay Liye.

Released by Aag Films, a subsidiary of the Geo Television Network on three cinemas in three cities, Cineplex in Karachi. Sozo Gold in Lahore and Cinepax in Rawalpindi, if you head out to the cinemas to see any film this should be it. After all, it does give a whole new meaning to the term qurbani ka bakra.

But what we really suggest you do this Eid is catch Zibahkhana in the theatres. There is something refreshing about this new breed of directors for whom the surprising success of Khuda Kay Liye has opened doors. Proving all the stalwarts of the film industry wrong, who historically maintained that a film without naach gana wouldn't work, Shoaib Mansoor has paved the way for a new exciting kind of cinema in Pakistan. It is a brave new frontier that is no longer seeking to emulate Bollywood. Zibahkhana is another endeavour in that direction. This is nothing like Bhoot or Darna Mana Hai or the many Indian horror films that have come out. Zibahkhana is classic camp horror in the best possible way.

And if it has anything in common with Khuda Kay Liye, it is that Zibahkhana too gives one that warmth that comes from watching something rooted in one's own world. The youngsters in Zibahkhana could be from any metropolis in Pakistan and their travels through the woods in Isloo will strike a chord with anyone who has ever been there. And for that pleasure alone this slash fest is worth a watch.

One film crtic recently slammed geo for promoting an ordinary film like Mohabbatan Sachchiyan instead of Jhoomer.

Jhoomer no doubt had a decent story but what let it down was the technical quality and presentation.

Also the film was released without any publicity and then what was even bizaare Jhoomer only got released in the Punjab circuit on Eid.

One has to blame Syed Noor and no one else. It was his ego which got the better of him.
